“ Atmosphere: 5/5!!! Trendy but quiet music playing, a lot of seating available for groups or solo coffee drinkers. Even books available to read and buy! I absolutely loved the vibe of this coffee shop. TLDR: Come for the coffee and atmosphere! Eat beforehand. As for the drinks and food, I've become a bit of a coffee and bagel snob... so if that's not you then this may not apply. That's why I've only decided to deduct one star from this... I'm definitely being picky. I ordered a cappuccino and an everything bagel with cream cheese. I found the cappuccino to be the driest I've ever had... seriously unsure how they even managed get that much foam in my cup. I did not specify at all with the barista, so I don't want to fault them for this. I found the espresso to be delightful. They serve La Colombe coffee- very enjoyable taste. As for the bagel.... this is where my star deduction comes. I need to go back and ask where these bagels are coming from; if they said out the freezer from Kroger I would not be surprised. It was served as a sandwich and basically flattened together. I don't know... call me spoiled... but if I wanted a bagel that tasted this way I'd buy a pack of them out the freezer at a grocery store. ”

I ordered their Holbrook sandwich and the Brown Sugar Draft. I loved both. The Brown Sugar Draft... I could drink it everyday! Also, the baristas were very kind! ”

“ My friends and I came here hearing great things from other friends. Super cozy vibes and we luckily found a cute spot to sit and do work (pictured). My friend ordered a Oat Milk Draft Latte and I had a Chai Latte both of which were yummy. The on tap feature was very cool and unique. The service was decent. I didn't get any food or pastries but I would love to come back and try them! ”
“ I was excited to hear when Kitab Cafe opened in Detroit, as I have visited the Hamtramck location. It's located in a very cute area of Detroit with a lot of walkable sites, so I thought it was a great stop to grab a latte to walk around and visit other local businesses. There also a nice selection of books to peruse, and it's a nice interior, but definitely fills up in terms of available seating so you may have to wait for a table if you are looking to enjoy your coffee there. ”
“ I always come for the oat milk draft latte - always yummy, so smooth and sweet enough to not need additional sugar! Service is fast, I wish they called by name though as they are so busy and people order the same drinks. Today was my first time grabbing a sandwich, the Gallagher with halal turkey and veggies on an everything bagel. Quite good, and made for a nice quick lunch together with the coffee. Decent amount of seating with tables, but usually full of students and folks camped out with laptops. Small lot parking but plenty of street parking around the corners - pay with the Detroit Parking app! ”

“ This cafe is so popular! Very cute with lots of seats that surprisingly get full more often than not. Tried their grandmas golden tea twice and love it each time. It tastes like a cider mixed with a lemonade with less citrus. Great light iced drink for the hot weather 9/10. Ordered the breakfast sandwich croissant loved the flaky croissant and the melted cheese 10/10 ”
“ Very fresh, excellent light sandwich. Perfect for lunch. The place is halal and very nicely decorated on inside. Plenty of seats. The service was excellent as well. I would definitely go back. I think the aioli in buffalo chicken was slightly over powering, loved the spice though and a little too much mayonnaise in the turkey sandwich ”
“ What a cute coffee shop! It's so bright inside and they have lots of indoor and outdoor options. I also love their collection of art of books for sale. We got two of the oat milk lattes, one brown sugar and the other the lavender draft. If you want something not as sweet as a traditional latte, the drafts are a great option! The staff here are very friendly and it was nice to see it so busy since this business has great values. ”
